Neatening up the Boards

Just having a tweak of the Boards at the moment to try and neaten things up and reduce the number of forums on the main page, as I realise not many of them have been used within the past couple of years(!)... what with KK being back in town, I thought it could use doing. So if I flick any of the wrong switches I apologise...

New Self-Uploading Multimedia section!

We've now moved to another server and there's a new Multimedia Section where you can upload images, icons, and music videos without having to wait for approval!

The only thing at the moment is that all video files must be 7MB or under. That will change soon!

Forum on new server

I've setup a redirect which takes you to the new server for the forums.

Everything else is still being fixed and don't worry about the URL it's only temporary for now until direct kk.com to here!

New Account Validation

As a result of an influx of 'fake' members spamming us I've had to set up Admin validation to new accounts... it's a step I didn't want to take, and will probably just be temporary, but it should neaten the board up... I for one am fed up of reading messages about online pharmacies, viagra and the like!!! (Although our lovely mods have been great at deleting them swiftly!) Basically, if you register the Admin must ok you before you're able to post in most of the forums.

We tried to solve the problem using e-mail validation (making members validate their e-mail addresses before they became members), but this has failed to stop all of them (although I boast a proud 10 members trying to register with non-existent e-mail addresses! Muhaha)

I'm no expert on the issue of the robot-things that spam message boards, but I'll do all I can...

On other notes:
- More 2001 clips should be en route soon (have them on my pc, just need to upload - give us a few days)...
- Kirsty LJ has hit another wall... help appreciated
- The voting shall remain open for the foreseeable future, until we;ve harvested enough votes from members to make it worthwhile.
- The essay competition - also seems to have flopped... where has the KK vibe gone?!

Update: KK Feature launch!

The team at Forbidden Delights (The Kane and Kirsty Fanlisting) has now launched a number of interactive new features!

TOP SCENES/MOMENTS
Firstly, our new ‘Top Five’ feature members of our message boards to vote for their top five in a number of categories. Check out the designated forums here

To encourage participation in one of our newest features – our ‘Essay’ section – we are also launching an essay competition! We will also be establishing a ‘Hall of Fame’ when the results are announced, in order to recognise the members that participate in our contests. The points awarded to each member will correspond to the number of votes their entry receives!
